Size of QuickTime

Has anyone noticed that QuickTime (at least for OS X) has gotten incredibly large? Software update tells me that QuickTime 6.3 is 20.0 MB. I'm glad that broadband is becoming more and more prevalent, but I sure hope QT is not becoming too big for it's own good. Are the Windows and OS 9 versions still fairly manageable?
