As long as you only need to see simple Quicktime VR you only need the 4.? mb
installation. + the installer about 450 kb.
Sound support seems to need some extra download.
When people are viewing Fullscreens at panoramas.dk they download 2.2 mb
files and are very happy telling me that I should not use those "small" 1
mb files as the panoramas they get to see with a 2.2 mb download is much
more impressive.
And many of them are just on 56K.
In the last 3 weeks more then 200.000 visitors have seen more then 400.000
fullscreens.
Many people use several hours to browse the fullscreens.
To install the standard installation of Quicktime takes abot 15 minutes on
56K. You can hardly make a cup of coffe before it is installed.
5 mb download large ??
Take a look at the downloads at Microsoft.
Mediaplayer for 98 and 200 13.625 kb
Mediaplayer for XP 9899 kb
IE Explorer 6 Service Pack 1: 79324 kb
MSN messenger 4101 kb
Drivers 4200 - 6200 kb
And if you want to play games and belive me some people really do that on
PC, you may need the DirectX 9.0a End-User Runtime a download of 164237 kb.
