Hi,
I've been working on an applescript/LSP sprite/Applescript Studio
app to do this very accurately, but won't have something
distributable until later in the Summer.
Have a look at this, it is 720x576@25fps (5.5MB, QT6 required):
http://www.azurevision.co.uk/panos/grand_designs/
720_crossfade_2_mp4.mov
Obviously there are a lot of compression artifacts from MPEGing for
the web, but it's still far smoother than you will ever get by
manually scrolling in QT player.
Time:
On an 867MHz QuickSilver a ten second pan @25fps takes around
five minutes to generate.
