I tried viewing the movie file outside of the browser in QT itselft and had the same problem!
I do not think this is a Mozilla problem!
And after failing as stand alone I did not start up IE and try it there, but now just did, and have the same problem!
"Show movie info" also failed in my stand alone version of QT6.3,
Robert may be a using a non standard codec.

Mozilla and Netscape does not work with large size QTVR
It has nothing to do with how the movie is made.

I have warned against using them for a year now.
