> Luckily you can create your own previews in PhotoShop and add it in
> QuickTime Player.
This was news to me so I tried to make it myself on photoshop. I'll
list my step as I am not sure I'm doing the right thing:
1- I got my equirectangular jpeg and converted it into 6 tiles (using
panocube plus). I opened them in photoshop and created a new file
with the following dimension:
Height 250 pixel
Width: 1500 pixel
I selected these dimensions by extracting a preview track I've done
before using the export feature in QT player.
2- I added each tile as a layer to the new file in the correct order.
Flattened layers.
3- Saved for Web > Jpeg, Quality: 60%. The jpeg file was 58k.
4- I opened my new jpeg file in quicktime player, Edit > Select All,
then Copy. Closed QT.
5- Opened my qtvr file (271k, window size: 400 x 250) which I want to
add the preview track to, Changed controller to movie controller.
Edit > Add Scaled.
6- Then in Edit > Enable Tracks. I switched the new video track to
off. Saved. My new qtvr file is 276k?!? My qtvr gained just 5k. And
ofcourse the preview track is not working online.
What am I doing wrong?
