Re: Film vs Digital

Does this mean that you will be showing $300 digital cameras that can produce better quality than the Nikon N-70 (used, maybe $100) and the Kodak 4050 (used $500)? But you will never fall in a river carrying the 4050, so that is why I say $300 for the digital.

I would love to see such a device.

Hey everyone...

I may get into trouble for saying this but here goes...

R.I.P film!

Film died awhile ago for me.

I see very few advantages to film these days... Wait, don't flame me yet,
listen up!

For those who don't know it we are doing a Film vs Digital comparison at the
Summit in DC this year. This is a hot topic lately and many of you would
like to see a real comparison. Who better to do it than all of us??

http://www.lightspeedmedia.biz/summit/2003/index.html

We'll compare the hottest digital cameras on the market today - from the
high end to the lower end... to film...

Canon 1ds
Kodak 14n
Nikon D1x
Nikon Coolpix 4500

We'll shoot 100 and 400 ISO films in 35mm as well as 2 1/4 film - neg and
slide...

We'll scan with a "low-end" scanner (Nikon CoolScan) and a "high-end"
scanner (Imacon)

Find out once and for all what's better - film or digital... You'll learn
why film sucks... If ANY of you are film advocates get your butt to the
Summit and prepare to be a changed person! Prepare to have a "healin" take
place!

See you at the Summit!

; )
