Time is running out...

Time is running out for conference discounts.

The 14-day advance airfares have passed. The hotel is full and discount has passed. We have posted a list of nearby hotels to the Hotel page for those that are still looking for a room. The only discount left is the $50 off the registration fee of $675 for current members, $950 for non-members. The discount will expire on Wed., 9/24.

We have added a couple of sessions to the conference; 1. Digital vs. Film comparison and, 2. Monitor calibration.

Digital vs. Film: We'll compare the hottest digital cameras on the market today - from the high-end to the lower end... to film. The cameras we'll compare are; Canon 1Ds, Kodak 14n, Nikon D1x, and Nikon Coolpix 4500. We'll shoot 100 and 400 ISO films in 35mm neg and slide. Then we'll scan with a "low-end" scanner (Nikon CoolScan) and a "high-end" scanner (Imacon).

Monitor Calibration: We'll have a couple of calibration devices to calibrate laptop screens to cameras. Bring your laptop and camera with you and learn how to do it yourself. You have no idea how important this is to getting accurate color from your camera to the computer.

To those that are planning on showing up without registering, you better register NOW. At least this way you can get the $50 discount. If we don't have you registered, you will not get the discount. I know there are several people planning on showing up that are planning on paying with a check, but have not registered. You will NOT get the discount.

If you want to take advantage of the discount and plan on paying by check or haven't paid for registration, you need to go to the Registration page, fill-out the registration form, and fax it to 909-674-3876.

If you are sitting on the fence, you better get off it now and register. You won't be sorry you attended the conference, you will only be sorry that you missed it.
