This is what I did at WWDC:
Make your small watermark image into a PNG with an alpha channel if you want the transparency. This will have a bit of a negative impact on performance as QT will need to calculate the transparency when panning around. Alternatively you can use any image with no alpha channel but there will be no transparency. A JPEG might be best; a small JPEG.
1.- Open the image with QuickTime Player Pro
2.- Select "Edit->Copy" to bring it to the clipboard
3.- Open the QTVR movie in QuickTime Player Pro
4.- Change the controller to a normal linear controller (Movie->Get Movie Properties and in the right pop up menu select controller). This will show a linear controller that when you play it nothing appears to happen. That's fine.
5.- From the edit menu select "Select All" and then "Add Scaled". This should add what ever you have in the clipboard to appear on top of any other visual media. This should be your logo image and would appear at the top left.
6.- If you want to relocate the image, in the Movie Properties window, select the last video track that appears in the left pop up menu, then on the right pop up menu select "size". Click "adjust" and move the image around the window.
6.a.- If you are using an alpha channel for transparency, select "Graphics Mode" and choose "Straight Alpha".
7.- Once all is good, change the controller back to a QTVR controller.
8.- Save your movie as a self contained movie. This is _really_ important, otherwise the movie will not FastStart and will depend on the image file elsewhere on your hard drive.
