I use a GIF file: white background and black text for the copyright. When
the image has been added (Add Scaled), I go back to the Movie Properties,
choose Movie on the left, then Controller on the right. Then I go back to
the left menu and choose Video Track 2 (which is the logo). Then back to
the right menu for Graphics Mode. Selecting "transparent" lets me select
white as the color for transparency and voila! the black text floats over
the panorama as the viewer rotates. See

(pick QTVR of the playa, 2003) for a sample. (Unfortunately, Apple scales
the image down, so the copyright is completely ilegible. Sheesh! I've yet
to figure out how to deal with that. Zoom in on the pano, and the scaled
logo stays the same size.)

Francesco, thanks again for your very helpful responses on this list. I
have tried PNG files, but people ask me what the black square is - some
people are still using browsers that don't speak PNG, I'm sorry to say.
