As I hear it, he meant that with photos you have both the content
and the copyright over your own material and therefore you can
publish whatever you like without asking anyone. As long as it is
your own material. That would be the basis of the succes for the
Photo-Ipod.

But that whole story is a bit feeble, because at 17:20 he shows
what you can do with the photo-Ipod. And to do this, he simply
uses a piece of commercial, copyrighted material i.e. music.
