Re: brocap qtvr and intel macs

From: Roger Howard <email@hidden>

Why use Brocap at all for Macs then if you'll default to Quicktime, which everyone has? When would a Mac user ever see PangeaVR or a Java player in this case?

True, setting QTVR on Mac as preference seems odd theses days.
It's not about what is available (ok, that's what Brocap is looking for) but what's available and at the same time displays panoramas best. QTVR nowadays lacks some state of the art features that Aldo's SPi-V viewer and also PangeaVR do soooo neat! So with every month Apple doesn't put effort in QTVR's feature set it more and more degrades to a "last chance to see" technology for Mac users.

Still, users with enough knowledge can override Brocap's decisions, and site administrators using Brocap are free to set their viewer priorities as they or their clients like or their source material / scripting dictates.

Another site not mentioned yet with detection is http://www.zermatt360.ch/en/
