Curious if anyone's using this combo (5D/15mm, PTGui for Mac) yet?

I've been using PTGui in trial mode, testing the waters, and haven't yet gotten an acceptable stitch. Overall the stitch/blend is amazing, but there are some anomalous misalignments.

Hi Patrick,

Sorry I can't help you with misalignments, but how are you even able to get any stitch with the Trial of PTGui for OS X and that combo? Is the 15mm less than 110 degrees FOV on a 5D?

Quite annoyingly the OS X version of PTGui is restricted to "under 110 degrees FOV" (fear of Ipix still?) in trial mode, making any "pre- purchase" testing that I want to do (with fisheyes) pretty much impossible. The trial also prevents using an external optimizer (like PanoTools/ Nona) that is not limited in its FOV in this way, so it is a "no-fisheyes" demo.

I don't know if the folks at PTGui have noticed, but both PTMac and Stitcher *enable* the use of fisheye images in their trial versions, so at least I can test those applications out before buying...
