CubicConnector and Quicktime

I made a 15 node movie for my local Elementary school (thats what you get for being on the PTA). CubicConnector final move size is 3.8meg. Is this an acceptable size for 56K modem and above? Should I reduce the image quality to get the size down? or should I run this movie thru QTpro to reduce the overal size?

Images are 3000 pix / 768 cube face / photo jpeg low / = 225k + - per node.
