I was aware of the open faces view but had been avoiding it since
discovering a bug (go to single face view, click in label field to
give it focus, click open faces button, kaboom) and since you can't
label hotspots in that view.
I've never run into that bug, I guess because I label my hotspots in
the "Connections" tab, when I am visually aware of where they lead to.

You should only worry about repositioning the center line if the

Which is of course what I encountered on the first pano. :-/
But that will hopefully be relatively infrequent. Now I just wish
I could draw circular and oval hotspots. Yeah, you can approximate
them with a polygon, but polygons are much more time consuming to
draw, and they aren't as aesthetically pleasing. Gosh I'm
picky... ;-)
Well, if you are going to have your hotspots visible all the time,
then I guess having a pleasing shape will actually matter. If the
hotspot drawing-tools in a $79 app really frustrate you, there is
always $400 LiveStagePro (which does much, much more with any QT
movie) and its distinct lack of a polygonal hotspot tool! Ah, but it
does have circle/oval, paintbrush, eraser, easy repositioning, large
drawing area, etc. Plus, the interactive elements you can add to a
QTVR with LiveStage is nothing short of amazing... if they continue
to work in the latest version of QuickTime, that is.
