Re: Re which pano head is good

Hi Guys+Gals,

-If you want a cheap panohead look at the NN3 - amazing what you get for the money IMO, plus Bill is a great guy to deal with aswell.

-Likewise making your own heads is a good plan if you have the mechanical aptitude (it is how I started out with panohead design) and frequently works out very cheap indeed (though rarely looks hi-tech!)

-However, If you want professional equipment, you have to buy professional kit. In our case that means spending a bit more than on other heads, though we make no apologies for this. We manufacture, design and support top end heads in the UK. This is backed up with top level panoramic knowledge which means we are able to offer a level of service I feel no-one else can. To those out there who do not have 360P heads and enjoy the systems they are using, great, I'm really happy for you, though that is hardly grounds for putting the 360P down - just seems absurd to me :-(

What many members on the lists probably do not realise is that 360Precision were the first people to even talk about batch stitching in the way it is now discussed. We designed and proved it possible, and at the time of our announcements many familiar voices were the first to condemn our claims as impossible - now our methods have become accepted and imitated - the most sincere form of flattery I am sure you will all agree! (I also hope you'll all be hearing about our new adjsute panohead from happy customers very soon as the first shipments are making their way out :-)

We are always going to try to improve our hardware and also embrace new panoramic techniques and teach them to our customers and friends. Production of better quality panoramas is best for the industry as a whole and we are well aware of this.

Kindset

Stuart@360Precision
