All scales I know are already based on a quality setting.

From that point of view the one we use in all Mac applications for QTVR (except pano2vr) and photoshop websave have a setting of 50% which actually give you a medium quality that is the optimal quality which does not cause visible artifacts.

A setting of 70% quality does not really make sense for that.

The 0-10 scale in Photoshop gives the same at 5.
