Robert, are you on an Intel Mac or PPC?

I have been living with FireFox's difficult handling of QTVR for some time now but decided to check my other (infrequently) used Mac's to see if the error was reproducible.

There definitely is an issue with FireFox playing QTVR content on the Mac, but it may not manifest itself on all systems - which means maybe the problem is not relegated to just the browser.

The problem occurs after a few tiles of a VR have streamed in.  One can navigate the pano until releasing the mouse.  At that point, the VR (and the browser) becomes completely frozen.  Only when the pano has fully loaded is any form of interactive control returned to the user.

This problem occurs on both an old G4 I have as well as a G5.  However, a G4 Mac Mini I tested played QTVR content in FireFox fine.

All systems are running OS X 10.4.11.  And all have FireFox 2.0.0.11 installed.

The G5, moreover, has a relatively clean system from a recent OS re-installation.

Also, when I boot the G5 into 10.5 - the problem still occurs.

Further Specs:

Old G4 - 450 mhz / 896 Mgs Ram / 10.4.11   - exhibits QTVR loading issue
Mac Mini G4 - 1.6 Ghz / 500Mgs Ram  / 10.4.11 - Plays QTVR content fine in FireFox
G5 Duel 1.8 Ghz /  4 Gig's Ram / 10.4.11 & 10.5 -  exhibits QTVR loading issue in both OS versions.
