capture QT format using Java and a web cam

Hi all,

is there an other software/tool to capture QT format using Java and a web
cam? Right now I'm using sun's JMF but the only codec I'm able to
use is JPEG - which doesn't provide good enough quality for me.
I can use other codec ... but the are worse than the JPEG codex
may be I'm doing something wrong???

the capturing examples in the QT5 java sdk didn't work for me on a win2000 system
