Re: Help - Processor Usage Rockets and playback flickers???

Sorry folks - extremely sloppy of me.

I am running this on the following :

Windows 2000
JDK 1.3.0_02 (Jbuilder 5) - although the same happens
in 1.3.0-C in DOS
Quicktime 5.0.2 Player

Not sure of the java api version but I installed it
with QT5, so I assume (dangerous maybe) its
compatible.

Just in case the QTJava.zip file is 798 kb in size.

My thoughts on why its happening are one of the
following:
(1) Me doing something wrong in my code
(2) A process kicking in on windos after a period of
time (although nothing jumped out when I used Task
manager)
(3) The code not releasing an object from memory
somewhere

My other concern is that because I play the next movie
from within the execute() method and set up a
'listener' on the new movie within the execute methos
that it might be cyclic in some way, although the
memory resource doesn't seem to be a problem. It
gradually increases and after a while drops - I'm
guessing thats when the gc kicks in to do some tidying
up.

Anyway hope all this helps.

Thanks again

Steve
