Make sure you call disposeQTObject() on everything and anything you can (anything extending QTObject) when you no longer use it. Alternatively, I've found that a useful 'catch all' is to call System.gc() (or QTUtils.reclaimMemory) at convenient points when users won't notice a second or two delay, eg. when closing a major frame that held lots of things open.
