time updates while scrubbing

Hi,

I've seen this question asked a few times, but couldn't find any answers, so here I go again: is there a way get notified of time changes while the user is scrubbing through the movie with the default movie controller? I had found Anant's message from a couple years back that says the SDK has sample code that does this, but I've failed to locate anything relevant.
