I need to place a swing component over the QTCanvas which already in turn has a image.
How can it be done.

Also pl.. specify is it possible to place the QTJava--QWidget into JPanel,JFrame.

at the moment, you can't use a QTCanvas blended with Swing drawing, it doesn't work right... for example, if you're trying to play a movie that uses hardware accelerated drawing (ie: in an overlay frame)...

It _is_ possible to use them in the same application, just not in the same window as a rule of thumb...

you could draw into an offscreen image and then use the Java stuff to blend this, it depends on what you're trying to blend - ie: still image, movie playback, simple animation, etc... I use QT graphics in my Swing interface, but I don't use the QTCanvas to draw them.

cheers,

dean
