try other video-card and try a non hyperthreading machine

I am getting the component via

Component compVideo = (Component)
(QTFactory.makeQTComponent(nextMovie)).asComponent();

The Component received is an awt component, not a swing one.Got any
more ideas? I have ran out of them :(
