There are patent license requirements for pretty much all the MPEG
technologies - some covered in a general MPEG4 license, others that
must be negotiated separately.
(I've been told recently that MPEG1 is now free, though, enjoy ;-)

I don't think there are many. AAC and AMR (NB/WB) were the only
ones I inquired about. QCELP may be another one.
