Having finally managed to play a Quicktime movie in
Java I was  wondering whether it is possible
to display a DV stream, as would be coming from a
video camera, such as the iSight?

The open-source QuickTime Capture plugin for ImageJ at "http://rsb.info.nih.gov/ij/plugins/qt-capture.html"; does this.
