Hi guys,
For the past few months, I have been working on a Java application, where I
have implemented a Player to plug-in to the JMF that utilizies the
QuickTime for
Java, 6.5, API.
After 7 came out, I decided to try and upgrade. The first problem I
encountered
was the "This version of QTJava has expired" problem -- a problem very well
documented in this forum. Well, then, I saw that the iTunes 6.0.1
/QuickTime 7 combo
supposedly fixed this problem; so, I had that installed.
Well, since then, the "This version of QTJava has expired" problem has
disappeared.
But, now, every time in our application where a MP4 video file is attempted
to be
played, a NoPlayerException is thrown, and it's as if it's not recognizing
MP4 files,
or the player is not being found at all. I realize that the setup is very
different from
6.5, so maybe some system file is just not being found??
Has anyone else encountered these problems with QT 7? Is QTJava 7 still
buggy, or has
most of the bugs been worked out?
Thanks!
Mary
