Hi I have a problem starting movies in Quick Time For Java when the URL starts with "http://";. With "file://" there is no problem.
This problem occurs on 2 of 3 Win XP machines, but not on the iMac.
All three Windows XP machines have the latest QuickTime Player version installed.
Using the same URLs with QuickTime Player works perfectly on all machines...
I have tried to turn off the firewall, same result..
QuickTime for Java throws the following exception on 2 of the machines:
quicktime.std.StdQTException[QTJava:6.1.3g1],-2012=invalidDataRef,QT.vers:7038000
at quicktime.std.movies.Movie.fromDataRef(Movie.java:346)
any ideas?
