On Windows you need a VDIG (Video DIGitizer) component for QuickTime. There's Connexant VDIG (old, may not be arround anymore) for the respective chipset and Abstract Plane VDIG (commercial) and WinVDIG (free, and opensourced too if I remember well) that are generic and use DirectShow API under the hood.
There's also another effort to wrap DirectShow stuff in Java but not sure how must interoperable with QTJava it is
