Re: Dean and AbstractPlane? (Greg Philpott)

Dear Greg and Chris,

We also purchased several VDIG AbstractPlane licenses just before the site went down. The driver seems to work well but the serial number is somewhat not stored (I suspect a glitch with file permissions or something like that) and the product fails to work.

I wanted to obtain support on that but there seems to be no way to contact them.
For now the freely available WinVDIG seems to work well on our hardware and it has saved our day, our software is entering final testing phase.

Maybe Tim from WinVDIG sould setup a PayPal account to accept donations and accept support queries for WinVDIG from donors?

Best,

Daniel Giribet

I am also in the market for a SoftVDIG license but I can't seems to reach the folks at AbstractPlane either. Is there any other commercial choices available? We are trying to capture and record video from a webcam on windows using qt4j and the only other driver I have tried is the one from WinVdig but so far no luck with several different cameras.
