A QuickTime VDIG component instance cannot simultaneously service
capture from two, or more, devices. For example; two external
iSights won't work.
Just to be sure, you mean two or more devices of identical make/
model, as opposed to any two devices?
If this is the case I am imagine this is down to the fact that
Quicktime does not try providing
differentiating two devices beyond their name?
