Barry - I don't have any examples of screen-drawing but just wanted to say
that we use full-screen mode via a heavyweight QTComponent on a
swing.JPanel. Each movie is about 2 hours long and compressed (via divx
mpeg4) to about 3.5Gb. Avoiding swing and using compression was the key to
our success.

Hi,
I'm trying to work out what is the most efficient way of displaying a
movie in fullscreen mode, I can do it using a Frame in the desktop,
but the movie is quite big and it struggles to keep up at times.
I want to instead see if doing it fullscreen and allowing QT to draw
to the screen directly speeds things up by much.
All the examples I've seen are all deprecated and I want to do this
properly and efficiently.
