Re: Reporting tools

Title: Re: Reporting tools
Yes, I do check the /Library/Receipts/ folder via Unix commands when checking all of my machines to see if a certain patch is installed that I specify in the command.  I guess I was asking if anyone integrates another piece of software with ARD so that they can run reports that show all of their machines patch levels at that time...what each machine has...what they are missing..all in a nice format..

Hi all,

I was wondering what sort of third party reporting tools do you all use with ARD?  I would like to be able to run custom reports to show what patches are installed on what machines, which aren’t, etc..

If you're speaking about Apple patches, then you could still use ARD to determine that.
Have ARD display the contents of the Library/Receipts
You could also have it run the softwareupdate cli tool to determine what Apple patches the system is missing.

Was there something else you were wanting to do with a 3rd party reporting tool?
