The GNU Ada compiler is called GNAT. It is documented at
http://www.gnu.org/directory/gnat.html
It is not part of gcc (C compiler), although it is part of the GCC
family of
compilers. I don't know how easy it is to build or install on a Mac.
You
might Google "gnat Mac" or something similar to see if someone has
already
done it.

hello,
I'd like to compile a few programs in Ada. I believe this can be done
with gcc, but I get the following...
% gcc hworld.ads
gcc: hworld.ads: Ada compiler not installed on this system
% gcc --version
gcc (GCC) 3.3 20030304 (Apple Computer, Inc. build 1495)

Has anyone done this on a Mac ? if so, if you could refer me to
documentation on installing an Ada compiler (gnat) that would be
great.
Thanks,
Avram
