Forwarded below is part of a press release for FEMLAB 3.0a, a
multi-physics finite element code that is now available on OS X
Panther. Ordinarily I wouldn't plug for a software company, but I did
some beta testing and I've found this program to be excellent. In
addition, COMSOL is usually very willing to grant trial versions. For
anyone tired of waiting for an ANSYS port to OS X, I recommend you
check it out.

Macintosh users can switch between FEMLAB3.0 running options;
i.e., standalone program and one with a smooth interface to Matlab.

Since it is completely written in C++ and Java, the Mac version of
FEMLAB3.0a has unprecedented modeling power plus the genuine look
and feel of a native Mac-application. Compared to its predecessor,

20 times faster while using as much as 20 times less memory! We
are very pleased with the new package and hope you will be too.
