It's a standard kiddie script. It tries to log on as "root", "guest", "admin", and "test".
(It should serve as a warning to folks such as myself who occasionally use "test" as a non administrative testing account.)

I routinely have password guessing attempts on my machine every day :(
You can see such things in System Profiler under logs / system.log
(or with 'cat /var/log/system.log' in the terminal)
Port scans show up too
