I saw lots of similar SSH login attempts....and I did track down the address to rockymountain.net or similar and actually got a good response from the ISP.


In the end I got sick of it, blocked the SSH port completely at the router, and set up proper VPN access (using the great free utility IPSecuritas) to our network via the router ( a Netgear FVL328). No more opening and having to manage NAT "ports" for various remote administrative services - just one robust secure access point to manage.
