I have leaned that OpenMPI is the successor of LAM/MPI. Probably, I should use that. In the notes for the Mac package, it is described "Fortran support is not included". What does it mean? Whether does it mean not including Fortran compiler in the package or not working with Fortran? As you can see, I am not good at English.

"FORTRAN supports is not included" means the provided library doesn't contain library for FORTRAN. If you are about using FORTRAN you have to compile it by yourself. I guess FORTRAN binding parts would be too huge to provide via network, so they cut off the portion.

This might be a reflection of a fact that FORT77/FORT90 is popular in Japan and Europe but C++/C is much popular in the US.
