Re: Reset NSScrollView

Thomas,

(Copying the list for other developers' benefit, as I can imagine other people hitting this...)

I think you may have found a bug. The Apple-developed channels seem, as a rule, to have a two-stage process for updating the detail view for a given table/detail split view. In the first stage, we trigger on the fact that the table's selection has changed, and we set the htmlData of the detail view to null, or () (depending upon whether we're in a Javascript or XQuery trigger). Then, we call (notify) a second trigger that does an http-request for the new data, and populates the detail view with that newly retrieved html. If you do something like this in your channel, the scroller should reset to the top.

It happens, if you select one entry of the table and then another.

I'm not seeing this as a problem in Sherlock's default set of channels;
the scrollers reset when the interior text view's contents change.
Perhaps there's something funky with your nib, or how you are setting
the contents of whatever the interior view of the the NSScrollView is?

If you could send a pointer to an example of this problem, that'd help.

Hi,

Is it possible to reset a NSScrollView in Sherlock? When I change the
content of a view in the NSScrollView and I also want to (re-)set the
vertical scrollbar to the top.

Thanks for any hints,

Thomas Dingler
