Hi,

I am developing a stream-media system sending AVI files. Can I send AVI files with Darwinstreaming server? Must they be transformed to MOV files first? If not , could you give me some suggestions ,such as which module should be modified in order to deal with the transformation from AVI to MOV? Should these files be hinted first?

Thanks,
Philip

Yes, QTSS needs a hinted MOV file. It's logically possible to make that file so that it points at the AVI for the media itself. Try opening the AVI file, then hinting it without "optimize for server" or "make self-contained" set.
