Hi, a new question. I'd like to make sure I'm understanding this
correctly.
It looks like even though DSS/QTSS supports "interleaved RTP" (ie RTP
over the RTSP TCP channel) for NAT traversal, QuickTime Player
doesn't support it!
This seems kind of crazy to me. From the debug logs, QT Player first
tries RTP over UDP and when that times out, falls back to the special
Apple-only RTP tunneled over HTTP method. Is that right? Why does
Apple's server support a nice NAT traversal mechanism that their own
player doesn't implement??
I've verified DSS works fine in RTP over RTSP mode with the openRTSP
client in "-t" mode (which sends a SETUP with Transport: RTP/AVP/
TCP;unicast;interleaved=0-1 and works great behind NAT)
Thanks!
Skye
