Re: Can i use multiple cams to streaming in on machine?

I'm not sure if you're referring to having multiple FireWire cards on one machine or having multiple machines each with a FireWire card daisy chained.

In any case you should be able to do both. I've been able to connect a camera to a PC (encoding Real and WiMP via Cleaner Live) then daisy chained to a G4 using Sorenson Broadcaster. Kind of neat, but you have to plug things in a specific order, otherwise the following device in the FireWire chain does not recognize the previous source. I don't remember the order but it was something like connecting the camera to the G4, switching the camera on, then launching Sorenson Broadcaster, then connecting the G4 to the PC and launching Cleaner Live last. Or something like that, but if you did it in the wrong order, the software would not recognize the FireWire source.

In theory you should be able to daisy chain a number of encoders to a single FireWire source (camera).

Is something like this possible with firewire capture devices?
