DarwinPlugins now live!

Hello Darwin Streaming Server community,

For over 3 years, Darwin Streaming Server has provided an excellent standards-based foundation for Internet streaming. It has also provided QTSS API, an excellent way for 3rd party developers to write add-on software providing features not found in the core distribution.

However, until now there has been no central location on the web to find and download add-on software to Darwin Streaming Server.

From this day forward, there is: http://www.darwinplugins.com.

The goal of this site is to serve as a location where 3rd party developers can post, for now free of charge, their add-on software to Darwin Streaming Server. This software does not have to be open-source, nor does it have to be freeware, at the discretion of the developer. Anyone can get their software posted. For more info, go to http://www.darwinplugins.com.

I would also like to offer up the first commercially available Darwin Streaming Server add-on: DarwinCluster. For more info, read the following email or go to http://www.darwinplugins.com

The continued maintenance of this site is completely dependent on its usefulness to you. So if it seems like a good idea, please use it and send feedback.

Brought to you by Denis Serenyi, formerly of QuickTime Streaming Server engineering, now author of DarwinCluster and administrator of darwinplugins.com.

darwinplugins.com is in no way associated with Apple.
