Does the Streaming Proxy 3.0 (OSX) work for OSX clients?

Does anyone know whether the Darwin Streaming Proxy 3.0 works with OSX
(10.0.4) clients?  I have installed it on a dual-800 running 10.0.4 and
it works wonderfully with the OS 9.2.1 clients inside our firewall but
not the OS X clients (using the same proxy settings).  the OSX clients
dont even show up as connecting (when the proxy is run with '-s'). 
Thanks for any insight that can be offered here..
