1. Audio in to G4
Has anyone had success in getting audio in to the latest G4's (G4 733,
system 9.2) for Sorenson Broadcaster encoding? I've upgraded an Audiomedia
III card to digidesign's specs (changed chip to Q series) but am having no
success. Any advice on drivers, card slot placement, voodoo, etc? Can't
believe thay took off audio inputs. help....I'm desperate...
2. Playing stream fullscreen in QTplayer
Kevin Marks and others provided advice on prepping a movie to 'play
fullscreen' in Quicktime player. How do I set this from with Quicktime
Player Pro 5 while I'm prepping my movies to stream? Can't find where to
'set the bit'.
3. posterframe on stream
How can I set a poster frame for my quicktime movies to avoid the Q that
lately dominates my life? It would either be for a stream being sent from
DSS PlaylistBroadcaster or from a url RTSP link. Using QTStreamSplicer I had
no success with hinted movies. It wouldn't accept the image and doing it
with non-hinted movies prior to hinting, seems to do nothing. It just isn't
visible upon receiving stream. I even tried to 'splice' or posterframe my
ref movie but with no luck.
4. changing size of stream
Under progressive download I could specify the embed dimensions in my
browser embed tag and it would stretch or compact a movie to fit. ie. I
could take my 160x120 and make it 800x600. With streaming I can now use the
embed tag to make a 'pluginspace' of any size I want in my browser but if
its smaller than movie it will truncate the image, and more importantly it
won't make the movie any larger than the frame size I've saved the movie at.
Any way to change size of embedded playlistbroadcaster streams or url'ed
rtsp movies from within browser? I would love to use the same files to play
for different monitor resolutions by changing browser tags, not duplicating
the large files and saving at different dimensions.
