Hi gang,
I've got an issue that I could use some help on: I've got a 'talking head'
embedded in a frameset, with an HREF track firing slides off in a second
target frame. If the slide in the target frame is animated, I've been able
to stream that embedded .mov, too. However, in Netscape 4.76 and on a Mac
running OS9 it's rebuffering, producing artifacts, (for the first time
I've heard an audio artifact) when the animation.mov begins and the
problem continues after the animation has finished and the HREF has fired
the next slide(s). It plays rock-solid on Windows and in IE, and
stand-alone (non HREF) movies are rock-solid on both platforms. It's only
the HREF movies on Mac that cause the breakup and freezing/buffering of
the streaming movie. (We support both platforms) We've increased Netscape
memory to 32mb and Quicktime to the same but still have problems. I don't
expect allocating more memory to do the trick.
Has anyone else seen the same problems with an HREF movie causing the
streaming movie to break up like that, or break up when it triggers
another movie?
