It just makes
no sense that you can't put the server behind a firewall.
Well, are you putting the server "behind" a firewall?
Or is your server box "the" firewall?
The first case should have no problems. In the second case my guess
is DSS may not like sharing a tcp stack with IPNAT.
Disclaimer: I'm no network guru, I leave that to greater minds, who
are still debating whether to open port 554 for me :-(
A connection to the remote clients will also require some ports open
in the range 6000 - 9000. Does DSS manage this itself?
