Quicktime Broadcaster crashing troubles

I've been having reliable crashes with quicktime broadcaster on a G4
Dual 800mhz system (OS 10.2.1) with a canon dv camcorder through
firewire. The setup for compression, ect. was left at the default
settings from the broadcaster install. I checked the mac os console
after one of the crashes and this is what it recorded:

Oct 30 08:51:59 libclass /Applications/QuickTime
Player.app/Contents/MacOS/QuickTime Player: kCGErrorFailure :
CGSFlushContext is obsolete; use CGContextFlush instead.

Since I'm not a very good programmer and I'm still figuring out the
mechanics of the Mac Os 10.2.1, I'm not sure what to do about it.

Any suggestions as to what might be happening will be greatly
appreciated. Thanks!
