We live streamed a lecture this morning using QTSS (mpeg - 4 audio and
video) and QT Broadcaster. We had a problem with the live stream audio
(it seemed to be a corrupt spd file). During a pause, I stopped the
broadcast (I'm using the command line), erased the sdp file from the
server manually, and then restarted the broadcaster. The stream went
out fine after that. The problem is with the version recorded to
disk.... Quicktime doesn't recognize it and I can't open it to hint it
for the archive. I can't import it or open it in Premier, Final Cut or
iMovie.
So I have 2 questions
1) Is there any way I can salvage the archive version?
2) How can I keep this from happening again. We stream 5 lectures a
week and the last 2 have had problems.
3) Anyone running a regular streaming schedule and using Qt
Broadcaster? I seem to have a problem with corrupt SDP files. do I need
to delete those after each lecture?
Thanks,
Jason
