Interesting problem just occurred when setting up a new server with v4.1 of
QTS. I've had version 3.n working fine on the same box with Real 8.02 after
re-mapping the rtsp ports to different values for the Darwin server.
Today I tried the same thing on a new installation, but for some reason I
got nowhere the moment I changed ports entered in the xml (eg. 554 to 555,
7070 to 7171, etc)
Do I have to edit more than just the streamingserver.xml to move the ports
from 554, 7070, 8000, 8001 to different values? If I edit just the entries
in the xml, the admin server for example tells me that "server is starting
up" as well as "Connect failure, unknown error" after most of the page loads.
This is all without the RealServer even loaded. I can get everything
working fine again by simply reinstalling the QTSS server, but as soon as I
edit the ports, things go bonkers again.
I'd hate to have to use Real licenses to host QT content, but right now I
can't seem to be able to install QT the way we need to run.
