Re: QTSS on port 80 v Apache

Steve,

I believe you're getting that message because port 8000 is already in use. QTSS uses it as the port for streaming MP3s.

Subject: QTSS on port 80 v Apache
Date: Thu, 31 Oct 2002 15:21:22 -0000

Hi All

My previous post was about streaming on port 80. This now works fine, but I
would like to run personal web sharing / Apache on the same box.

The answer would appear to be to change Apache's port from 80 to, say, 8000. I
found the (well hidden) inetd.conf file and manually changed the port 80 to
8000.

The problem is that this doesn't seem to work. When I start Apache, and try to
load a web page, I get a QTSS generated error.

Any ideas how to get around this?

TIA

Steve
